Translational Research Symposium 2018

Abstract Submission for the 2019 TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM

The Translational Research Symposium 2019 (TRS 2019) will be held on the 6th August at the Translational Research Institute (TRI). The theme of TRS 2019 is Science Communication - Talk Science to me! The event is open to students, early-career and mid-career researchers, research assistants, and clinicians - We welcome attendees from all career backgrounds. The TRS is a fantastic opportunity for researchers and clinicians to network and showcase their translational work. 
 
Prizes will be awarded for posters and oral prizes within these categories for students (Honours, Masters and PhD students) and professionals (ECRs, MCRs, RAs, Clinicians, etc).  For poster and oral presentations, the following categories will be used.  You will need to submit your abstract into one of the following:
 
Discover - Investigate the what, why and how behind biological processes through fundamental research and proof of concept work
Develop - Improve and design treatments, technologies, detection and delivery systems that would enable the fundamental research to be translated into a pre-clinical setting
Deliver - Optimize and commercialize diagnosis, prognosis and treatments of preventative approaches in the clinical setting

The theme of TRS 2019 is Science Communication. Ten speakers selected for the "Talk Science To Me" session will be required to explain their project in 3 minutes to a lay audience. The audience will select a winner to be presented with a prize in this session. Please indicate if you are interested in participating in this session.
