About me
I graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006 with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons). In 2008 I commenced my PhD in the laboratory of Nicholas Saunders at UQDI. After completing my PhD, which examined a role for epigenetic dysregulation of differentiation in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, I began a post doctoral research position at UQDI. My work has been supported by a grant from the Wesley Research Institute, and has involved next generation sequencing of a cohort of breast cancer DNA screening for potential pathogens which may be involved in the development of breast cancer. I also work on intratumoural heterogeneity in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and the epigenetic regulation of squamous differentiation. I divide my time between TRI and private practice general dentistry at Coorparoo Family Dental.
