About me

Dr Geng Wang is currently a PhD student of statistical genetics at UQDI, Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland. He received his bachelor degree in clinical medicine and master degree in internal medicine from Second Military Medical University (Shanghai, China) in 2012 and 2016, respectively. He worked as a resident physician from 2016 to 2017 at Changzheng Hospital affiliated to Second Military Medical University and promoted to be an attending doctor in rheumatology in 2017. While he was studying and working in Shanghai, he paid visits to TRI twice in 2016 and 2017 for bioinformatics training and collaborative research. Then he got interested in human genetics and decided to pursue a PhD study of statistical genetics. His current research interests include developmental origins of health and diseases, Mendelian randomization, genetic susceptibility of complex traits and diseases, and the development and refinement of statistical genetics methodologies.
