Sterilisation Technician Lead – (Permanent, Full-Time)

The Sterilisation Technician Lead is focused on delivering high quality sterilisation and washup services, as well as assisting the Scientific Services Team and Stores Team. 

The Sterilisation Technician Lead is responsible for the end-to-end sterilisation process and provides quality controlled, cleaned and sterilised glassware and equipment for use in research. The position provides regulated waste disposal, including GMO, biologicals, and quarantine material.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role working in a complex environment 
  • Cert III or IV in Sterilisation Services or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
  • Experience with handling and treatment of laboratory or contaminated waste
  • Sound working knowledge of Sterilisation and Infection Control Standards in the operation of Autoclaves and Sterilisers
  • Knowledge of relevant WHS practices and the ability to accurately follow risk management process & SOPS
  • Knowledge of waste handling requirements, sterilisation techniques and aseptic procedures

Finance Applications Support Officer – (22.8 – 38 hours per week)

The primary purpose of the Finance Applications Support Officer position is to manage and maintain TRI’s ERP system JD Edwards (JDE) and it’s system interfaces. 

This role is offered on a Maximum-Term contract for up to 12 months on a part-time or full-time basis. This role is offered between 22.8 – 38 hours a week depending on the preference of the individual. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Maintaining 1st or 2nd tier ERP systems and web-based software solutions 
  • Ability to identify, diagnose and resolve problems in a systems environment
  • A tertiary degree in ICT; or an equivalent of education/training and 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • General knowledge of computer systems software and hardware for PC’s, workstations and servers
  • Knowledge of the finance function and its related processes would be highly regarded
