TRI STREET SCIENCE

TRI Street Science will provide an exceptional platform to raise awareness for your medical research. It is preferred that you create a family-friendly activity that everyone can enjoy to help engage and immerse attendees.

This event is intended to show students key scientific concepts behind different areas of research, what sorts of practical skills are needed and what kind of day to day work is involved within different scientific institutions. The aim is to showcase various STEM related careers to school students. Students from local High Schools will be invited to attend along with Year 7 students from Indooroopilly State High School who will be in attendance on the day in SPARQ-Ed.

Please note that space for activities is limited as the event will take place in the Atrium.

Successful activities will also have the opportunity to apply to be involved in the World Science Street Festival in South Bank in March 2020 – known for being energetic and interactive, messy and loud, Street Science turns South Bank into a science playground during the course of one weekend every year in March.

If you are interested in being involved and would like to find out more please email [email protected] for a copy of the application form.

The event will be held in the TRI Atrium on Friday 1st November for approximately one hour.
