Kidney Health Week 2018

Kidney Health Week starts from March 5 to 11. It is to raise awareness of kidney disease and Kidney Health® Australia encourages everyone to learn more about the risk factors and take control of their kidney health.

One in three people living in Australia is at increased risk of kidney disease, and 90% of kidney function can be lost without experiencing any symptoms.

TRI, teams across our partners and Centre for Kidney Disease are collaborating together to find a solution to help diagnose renal cell carcinoma, a type of tumour that accounts for about 90% to kidney cancers. Getting the correct diagnosis of the type of renal tumour in a non-invasive manner and prior to surgery, will help clinicians prescribe the most effective treatment for each patient.
