Smart State policy pays dividends

A piece in The Australian today by Higher Education Reporter, John Ross, focused on the results of the Smart State investments made throughout the 90's. The Translational Research Institute got a mention as one of the 3 key initiatives to come out of this program while our partners UQ were also mentioned. 

Ms Enoch highlighted the Translational Research Institute, Queensland Brain Institute and QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute as key Smart State initiatives.

“It’s given us a competitive advantage in biotechnology, medicine, clean energy, agribusiness. Now we need to translate and move towards commercialisation,” she said.
