Introduction to microscopy

This introductory course will provide a comprehensive introduction to the theory and concepts in microscopy, giving users a thorough understanding of the methods and techniques involved with microscopy and how it can benefit their research.

Running for around 2.5 hours, this session will cover key concepts around sample preparation, fluorescence, quality control, imaging modes, parts of a microscope, techniques used in imaging as well as a brief introduction to image data and basic data analysis.
