Seminar Room 2004

HDR STUDENTS - WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR WRITING SKILLS? JOIN THE WRITING CIRCLE!

Writing Circles will be facilitated by Karyn Gonano, an expert communications coach who helps people to really finesse their writing and writing processes (including planning, writing, and self-reviewing), in ways that can dramatically improve the final document.

Writing Circles include the four steps of: reading the manuscript, critiquing, being critiqued and facilitating. When writers talk about writing they refer firstly to structure, then style, and then language in use.

Bring along 1-2 pages of your writing (thesis, article, abstract, grant) and have the opportunity to have an expert – and a room full of your supportive and insightful peers – to provide constructive feedback on your writing.

This workshop series will run on the second Tuesday (12pm-1:30pm) and fourth Thursday (10am-11:30am) of each month

The Writing Circle is an initiative brought to TRI by the Education and Training Committee. The next worskhop will take place on Thursday 23 May from 10am-11:30am in seminar room 2004.
